Back In The States was formed by high school student Arran Fagan who was looking to bring his original songs to life when he recruited Aaron Jackson on bass. Halé Gervais joined later on. The band recorded their first album "My Friend, My Friend" in four days and recorded mostly live with minimal overdubbing of the violin. The album was recorded, mixed, and produced by Sean Siders of the Seaons.
